Our Mission
Section titled “Our Mission”MOSA exists to strengthen the open source community by:
- Educating — supporting learning opportunities, camps, and events that spread knowledge of Drupal and open source software
- Connecting — bringing together developers, site builders, content editors, and organizations across the Midwest and beyond
- Sustaining — providing fiscal sponsorship so community-run events can focus on people, not paperwork
- Including — funding initiatives that make open source communities more accessible and welcoming to everyone
Fiscal Sponsorship
Section titled “Fiscal Sponsorship”One of MOSA’s primary roles is serving as a fiscal sponsor for open source events and communities. As a fiscal sponsor, we handle the financial and legal infrastructure so community organizers can focus on running great events.
Our sponsored events and communities include MidCamp, Twin Cities Drupal Camp, A11yTalks, Decoupled Days, Drupal Asheville, Stanford WebCamp, the Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit, Drupal NJ, Drupal Diversity & Inclusion, NedCamp, Black in Drupal, Talking Drupal, the Drupal Recording Initiative, Live Captioning Initiative, and the Drupal Chicago Meetup Group.
